The Orlando shooting of 2016, also known as the Pulse nightclub shooting, is one of the deadliest mass shootings in U.S. history. This tragic incident took place on June 12, 2016 at the Pulse nightclub during its Latin Night event.
The active shooter, Omar Mateen, a 29-year-old security guard, opened fire inside the nightclub, killing 49 people and leaving more than 50 others injured.
